Choose the right way to start, then create your first ePCR narrative.

What EMS SOAP does

EMS SOAP uses the patient-care details you type or dictate to generate an ePCR narrative in your agency's documentation format. You review the result and remain responsible for confirming that it accurately reflects the call before adding it to the patient record.

Try it on your own for 14 days

An individual medic can start a free 14-day trial with no credit card. Use only fictional, synthetic, or properly de-identified scenarios during an individual trial.

Evaluate it with your agency for six weeks

An agency manager or administrator can request a free six-week pilot for their whole organization. If the team will use real patient information, the required written agreement, including a Business Associate Agreement, must be in place first.

Joining an agency that already uses EMS SOAP? Use the account details in your invitation email to sign in.

Your first narrative

Open SOAP Narrative, or the narrative format your agency uses.
Type the encounter details or dictate them, then review the text before sending it.
Select Send to generate the narrative.
Review the narrative for accuracy. If Narrative Review asks about missing or conflicting documentation, answer from what happened on the call or skip anything that does not apply.
When the narrative is ready, select Copy and paste it into your ePCR.

Voice Dictation

Select the microphone in the narrative input.
Allow microphone access if your browser asks.
Speak naturally about the patient encounter.
You can record for up to 10 minutes. Select the microphone again to stop early, or wait for the timer to end.
After you stop, your recording is sent for transcription. The transcript appears in the input so you can review and edit it. Narrative generation starts only when you select Send.

System Requirements

Browser: Use a current version of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge.
Internet: A stable internet connection is required for narrative generation and voice transcription.
Microphone: Voice dictation requires microphone access in your browser.
Devices: EMS SOAP works on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.

Privacy and compliance

Individual trials are evaluation environments. Do not enter real patient information; use only fictional, synthetic, or properly de-identified scenarios.

Agency use with patient information begins after EMS SOAP and the agency have a Business Associate Agreement in place. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access is role-based and audited. Read more on the Security page, or contact contact@emssoap.com.
